Tina Holden’s Legacy

November 30, 2018

By Gloria Rand

It is with extreme sadness that I have to report that Tina Holden, the founder of MSTinaTV and Tina Holden International, passed away on November 27, 2018.

Tina Marie Holden

Tina leaves an extraordinary legacy as an entrepreneur, newspaper publisher, event organizer, education supporter and volunteer.

Even though Tina was diagnosed with MS in 2011, she didn’t let that stop her. She always had big dreams, and this diagnosis inspired her to create a webisode / documentary series to promote fair medical treatment for all.

Here’s a video of Tina explaining what she hoped to accomplish:

It was my privilege and pleasure to give Tina guidance in using social media to promote her cause. I hope this blog will inspire others to take up her cause and find a cure for MS too!

Thanks for the memories, Tina!
Love, Gloria

How to Turn Casual Shoppers into Client Evangelists [INTERVIEW]

June 23, 2015

Customer service is the backbone of any business. If you don’t provide good customer service, you won’t BE in business for very long. This is especially critical for small businesses. U.S. consumers consider customer service to be the most important factor when choosing a small business over other types of companies.

I recently had the pleasure of being interviewed by Internet Marketing Expert Gloria Rand for her Shortcut to Success Telesummit. My topic was Pathway to Success: Customer Service Strategies to Turn Casual Shoppers into Client Evangelists. During the interview, I shared why it’s important to GIVE and DO first, in order to get the sale. You can listen to the interview here:

Tina Holden Launches Indiegogo Crowdfunding Campaign for Health Care Web/Documentary/Reality Series

MSTinaTV Webisode Documentary Film Promotes “Fair Medical for All” Women’s Equality and Citizen Journalism

MSTinaTV-02Life for Tina Holden took a major detour in 2011 when the Central Florida entrepreneur and publisher of Seminole County Woman newspaper got diagnosed with Multiple Sclerosis. After also running a wireless retail store for 18+ years, the Orange County resident and Seminole County business owner, forced herself to take a hard look at her priorities in many ways.

Ms. Holden had symptoms for nearly three years before receiving her official diagnosis of MS. Since that time, Ms. Holden has become a member of the “government system” of health care, relying on Medicaid/Medicare and Social Security disability benefits. Not one to shy away from adversity, Tina has launched a crowdfunding campaign on Indiegogo to document her experience with the nation’s health care system. The webisode/documentary/reality series, MSTinaTV, will also chronicle Tina’s campaign to ensure that everyone – regardless of age, culture or economic status – receives the quality medical treatment they deserve. Thoughts on Turning 50, Finding Tina

December 27, 2013

2 more days till the big 50!! And although nothing really special planned, I take it as if it is a new leaf being turned. Never married, no children and although detour sent and someone upstairs chose me to take on new challenges, I take each and every challenge as a HUGE opportunity. And opportunities do bring lots of excitement and variety don’t they? All just a reminder that it is important to be slower and maybe use my creative side more too. Read more…

Meet My New Group of Friends: Emotions

June 18, 2013

EmotionsI have a new group of Friends; they are called and referred to as Emotions.

Now you may ask why in the world would I come to refer to Emotions as so-called friends? And who are these so-called friends?

Well as someone at the ripe age of 49, never married and having been on my own self supporting since the age of 15, I guess with having realized along the way on this journey chosen for me (My kid Annette which you may or may not remember MY MS) which I have come to call her and I guess she acts up every now and than along the way. But I will never blame her for my MS or my emotions but back to the topic at hand. Read more…

Sharing with the Likes of Annette Funicello, a Beloved Disney Mouseketeer

April 12, 2013

Annette Funicello My official B-day for my child — MS — as I have come to call it (name to be chosen –  think it’s going to be a girl),  I will say is Sept  26, 2011.  This is the Monday following 6 days in the hospital, last 3 days with a steroid treatment. I now have learned that this has to do with inflammation. As you can see, I too am still learning along the way and it has been heading towards two years. But as I learned early on, being referred to as a Newbie from my RN Connie, this journey has chosen me and there was a reason I believe because it was not 2 weeks later I began my research and the first person without any research was Annette Funicello came to mind. Why her name, why research? Well, not sure why, but this woman at the ripe age of 47 at that time (49 when I started doing the research) I just always remembered Annette but also that she had MS. Thank Goodness I was smart enough to know my body – Something was not RIGHT!!

April 7, 2013

The following article was originally published on

I was always a very active business owner, running a retail store, working 60-70 hours a week. As a young woman, I used to roller skate and ballroom dance competitively. But in the years past I look back and realize symptoms began several years ago with my Spasms in my feet and toes. I thought my right foot was sprained – reminder of jumping over a fence as a young woman, but a few years ago and several times later, my toes curled up when getting ready to drive, my feet had spasms and I could not walk or move during the middle of the night, but again I just kept working.
